Esacs Academy International Primary School is a non government institution which has clear aims to offer in education sector in Tanzania. The schools are registered separately and were started at different times while responding to needs of parents. Dr. Martha Mlagala Mvungi, an educator herself, initiated and led the process with the support of the first Principal of ESACS Academy, another educator, Mrs. Susan Morris Kimesera. In September 1995 this school was among the very first institutions to respond to the 1995 national education policy which allowed private and non-government practitioners to participate with the government in the provision of education to children in Tanzania.
In order to enter ESACS Primary School, a new student is always given an interview to allow the school to assess the level that suits the applicant even if they request for a specific class. This is done so in order to ascertain the level that has been requested and placement is done almost immediately to avoid delays and give the new child opportunity to join the school. Interviews take place all the time even when school is closed for holidays to allow parents to have access to the school as they wish. However, December is the time when grade I students are admitted from other Nursery Schools and interviews are taken between 9.00 am and 12.00 noon on all working days except Sundays. An appointment can be made with the Head of School for a specific interview date and time.
All fees are paid at the bank. There are three levels of fees depending on the type of admission received; Nursery, Lower primary or Upper Primary.
ESACS Secondary School admits students for the new academic year after interviews have been conducted and results have been approved for admission by the school. Form III students’ marks are derived from their National Form II Examination results. An Application Form is given to the applicant in order to have detailed information about the student. An agreement is signed, fees are paid into the Bank and the student is given joining instructions ready for joining the school. At this level tuition fees are the same except for day scholars and boarders who differ in what they pay for; boarding or for transport.
